| They did it by using a light source and a high shutter speed. It shouldn't require digital editing at all.

| You'd use an open shutter. I used to do something like this decades ago with my 35 MM cameras, but didn't have things like light sticks, LED flashlights and lasers then to go around town with. These make me want to do some again.
