| I wish there were captions/links to something useful, I don\'t know what some of these are and have no way of finding out without either/or :(\r\nAnd, believe it or not guys, 9/11 effected at least the entire western world. Even we in england still hold a silence once a year to remember.

| These are photos that shook the world, meaning they were either great sucesses, or terrible tragidys, these are not events to be forgotten easily, as they are inspirational/devistating, how can you claim to care for other people when your harrsing people on here? Bit hypocritical. And to those who did leave uncessary comments, it\'s easy to talk trash when no one knows who you are.

| I like how almost every picture is focused around 9/11 and the United States... only a country full of self-centered pigs would focus moreso on themselves than the unimaginable suffering that other countries are exposed to... And to whomever made this, you may want to change your title to 'Pictures that shook America' not the world

| Nice compliation, although I'm pretty sure the entire world doesn't exclusively comprise of USA events! Yes 9/11 was an awful awful day that will be remembered in history, but 7 of the 65 pics??? I know there are many other pictures out there that could have made the list! C'mon, pay homage to WORLD history in pictures, not just a few here and there scattered amongst American history.

| their were a lot of good pictures in their but their were a lot of repeats to. their were to many pictures of 9/11 one or two would have done the job to remind us. and as a photographer i can think of a lot more emotionally provocative pictures that should have made the list

| Heartless? Actually I don't know about the other poster, but seeing as how I've seen commercials selling coins minted from the gold under the twin towers, I'm guessing that most people anymore just see it as an opportunity to make a few more bucks. Kinda' like Iraq no?

| looking at the pictures of the forced integration, i came to a realization.
that was the beginning of the end for the youth and society of America.
On both sides of the race issue, it failed os all. bringing the white youth into contact with a obvious lower level of development. for the black young people it was a shock discovering just how poorly they competed in the white system. in all, we have destroyed our country for a good cause, but there were better ways to help the stunted back race.

| Mostly has-beens, and a waste of time. Nothing new here. The "best" ones can already be found in countless versions of "Life Magazines Pictures of the Century" or whatever. Race-baiting and Nazi concentration camp pics are old. (And hey, we just elected our first "black" president.) Besides, they may have once "shook the world", but fewer and fewer people, except those so badly brainwashed that they're mentally disturbed care anything about them. And WTC - may have "shook the world", but honestly a lot of the US didn't and still does not give a rat's rear-end about New York, who apparently thinks it's the center of the universe.

| you sir a a clueless moron. all these pictures shocked the world which WAS the point to remember them. so yea of course they were old pictures that most have seen. also all these pictures people should care about for the most part due to what they depict in the world as either violence cruelty or peace and tranquility. everyone should care about them. as for the 9/11 event its not NY that people cared for it was the the violence and death behind it that shocked people.
other then that this was a really good collection.

| It was a little rediculous that it was decided to put mostly all 9/11 pictures. If these are pictures that shook the world, I know that the Holocaust was a pretty world shaking event. And so many more that were not listed just to have mostly all U.S pictures

| yeah most of these didnt shak the world, i shook my computer a few times because 9/11 was getting abit obvious. What about cloning, african genocide, concentration camps, sweat shops, slave labour, no?
I think about 90% of these pics either have an american flag, or were caused by america.
Shook the world my arse.

| you do realize that about a tenth of these are different photos of 9/11, right? The least you could do is have some sort of continuity chronologically or all the same events together

| It is truly frightening what this world and we as humans are cabable of. Frankly i am terrified of the world that my children are going to have to inherit and deal with let alone the horors that we live with every day.

| And to think none of these events would have ever happened if not for the monetary economical systems we tolerate every day of our lives.
The day people will understand that money is only the shadow of power, notice that it's causing more harm then good and evolve beyond such stupid self-righteous restriction and understand that human nature isn't inherant... what a day it will be.
Resource based economy, now.
