| In Tuckernuck, off of Nantucket Island, there is basically a dirt road with a trailer for a control tower (the island is pretty much uninhabited, so it is only used for scientific reasons. Nantucket has a larger airport, directly off the beach)

| Beautiful airfields to land in. Some- I presume - are in Papua. Too bad there's no descritpion with them.

| While true that some of these are certainly no more than nice holiday pics, mcrbids, you must have much more exceptional experience dealing with variable wind conditions at the edge of oceans, not to mention the surprising changes in weather, drafts and turbulence that occurs in mountainous terrain than I do.
However, I find it rather hard to believe your pucker factor would still be zero landing nearly 7,000ft up on the side of the French alps as in this pic: http://image.linkinn.com/userfiles/Image/male_lotniska_27.jpg
Anyone that can land as confidently as you at such an airport that has a go-around procedure published as: Go-arounds are strictly prohibited, well, hats off to them.

| Most of these airports are, eh, airports. Who cares what's off the end, since it's.. OFF THE END. You don't land off the end, you land ON THE RUNWAY.
As a private pilot, the only one of these that strikes me as "scary" in any particular form is http://image.linkinn.com/userfiles/Image/male_lotniska_21.jpg
and then only because the departure procedure (to avoid hitting all them mountains) much be FREAKIN CRAZY.
But all those runways on islands strike me as a good vacation destination - knowing where they are might motivate me to fly there!
