Now these are the Marvel Comics characters that I would like to see a movie made of. Well, they’re at least better than the current ones that are planned. All of them can be made into a movie that depicts how each character came to be the superhero/villain that became of them. Some of these characters can be easily used as the main antagonist of current existing superhero movies.
Deadpool

Deadpool is an extraordinary combatant and is skilled in armed and unarmed combat techniques. He possesses a superhuman healing factor like Wolverine that allows him to regenerate damaged or destroyed body tissue. The superhuman healing ability also enhances Deadpool’s natural physical attributes allowing him to have extraordinary stamina, agility, strength, and reflexes.
Cable

Son of Scott Summers (Cyclops from the X-Men), Cable possesses psychic power typically in the form of telepathy and telekinesis. He is a highly accomplished warrior skilled in many forms of combat; hand-to-hand and weaponry.
Apocalypse

Real name En Sabah Nur, Apocalypse has exhibited energy absorbing and projecting abilities. The full extent of his powers is not known since they have been augmented by alien technology. He can shape change and elongate his body to unlimited ranges. Apocalypse can also increase his strength to levels surpassing that of the Hulk.
Doctor Doom

Arch-nemesis of the Fantastic Four, Doom possesses mystical abilities and is a genius in physics, robotics, cybernetics, genetics, weapons technology, bio-chemistry, and time travel. His nuclear-powered titanium battle-suit grants him superhuman strength and protection.
Omega Red

One of Wolverine’s arch-nemesis, Omega Red is a mutant with the ability to secrete deadly bodily pheromones and absorbing life force of others. He also possesses superhuman attributes, regenerative healing, nearly indestructible retractable tentacles, and highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat.
Juggernaut

Stepbrother of Professor X, The Juggernaut possessed mystical power which enhanced his strength to an unknown degree and made him a seemingly indestructible being. He can also survive indefinitely without food, water, or oxygen thanks to his mystical energies.
Adam Warlock

Adam Warlock possesses a number of superhuman properties and powers. He can manipulate energy and use his cosmic powers to enhance his physical strength, endurance, and powers of recuperation. Warlock has intertwined with the Fantastic Four, Thor, and Thanos.
Bishop

A former X-Man, Bishop is a mutant with the power to absorb energy and to project that energy from his body in the form of concussive blasts. He can also store absorbed energy to enhance his strength and recuperative abilities. Bishop is highly trained in armed and unarmed combat and is familiar with time travel.
Mister Sinister

One of the arch-nemesis of the X-Men, Sinister possesses enhanced durability and an extended lifespan following genetic alteration by Apocalypse. Sinister uses genetic material of other mutants to grant himself a vast array of powers including telepathy, telekinesis, superhuman strength, the ability to project concussive energy from his hands, and total control of his body at the molecular level.
X-Factor (1991-1998)

The team, comprising of Havok; a former X-Man and brother of Cyclops who could generate powerful plasma blasts, Polaris; a former X-Man with the ability to manipulate magnetism, Multiple Man; possessed the ability to create duplicates of himself, Quicksilver; former foe of the X-Men and son of Magneto who possessed superhuman speed, Strong Guy; possessed the ability to channel kinetic energy against him and transforming it into muscular mass and power, and Wolfsbane; possessed the ability to transform into a wolf-like creature with superhuman combat abilities.
Movies in development:
Thor
Ant-Man
Iron Man 2
The First Avenger: Captain America
Luke Cage
So here are the movies that are currently in development. In my opinion, the lineup doesn’t look that good but I’m definitely interested in Thor and Iron Man 2. I never heard of Ant-Man or Luke Cage and another Captain America film… and you know what’s funny, it was rumored that Will Smith will play as Captain America. Hopefully that rumor is just a rumor.
Announced movies:
The Incredible Hulk 2
The Avengers
X-Men Origins: Magneto
Silver Surfer
Black Panther
Iron Fist
Doctor Strange
Nick Fury
Venom
X-Men: First Class
So far, these are the announced movies in the upcoming future. There’s been word about a movie based on the origins of Silver Surfer but that will depend on the success of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. What I would like to see is a movie based on the origins of the master of magnetism. The Incredible Hulk was definitely a much better film than the previous Hulk movie and a sequel should be made. I believe Edward Norton has established himself as Bruce Banner.
I’m a little bit nervous about a movie on The Avengers. In my opinion, multiple superheroes in a movie are not good as single superhero movie. All the X-Men films are mediocre. There are too many characters to develop a good story for each one. Same thing goes for the Fantastic Four films. Besides, the casting sucked for this movie. The only good thing that spawned out of the X-Men films was Wolverine and Silver Surfer for Fantastic Four.
I’m not so sure about a movie on the Black Panther and Nick Fury. Nick Fury is just another Punisher to me. Do you really want to see another clone like Punisher? I don’t even know who Iron Fist is and why they announced a movie for it. But I think movies for Doctor Strange and Venom would be awesome. Something besides Spider-Man for a change.
Movies that should discontinue:
Spider-Man
The Punisher
X-Men
Fantastic Four
Sometimes, when you milk something for so long it gets dried up and boring. Spider-Man should have ended at Spider-Man 3. But no, Toby Maguire is signed on for two more Spider-Man movies. At least change the damn actors.
Why oh why do they continue to make Punisher movies? The latest installment, Punisher: War Zone, made a measly $8.7 million worldwide with a production budget of $22 million. Who the heck green lights these movies?
X-Men: The Last Stand should be the last installment for any X-Men movie. They should continue its new direction with movies like X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Focus on a single superhero. Fantastic Four should outright not be made anymore. The casting was terrible except for Doctor Doom and Silver Surfer.
Movies that do not need a sequel:
Daredevil
Elektra
Do you guys want to see Ben Affleck in tights again? Daredevil sucked and the character too. Unfortunately, a sequel has been announced. May be if they did a reboot… nah it still wouldn’t work. Elektra was just horrible. And it’s not a coincidence these two ended up together.
Movies that need a reboot:
Spider-Man
Ghost Rider
If you’re going to make more Spider-Man movies, at least, for its sake, give it a reboot. Toby Maguire will always give me the impression of a wimp. Even if you try to make him “hardcore” as in Spider-Man 3, he still gives off the wimpy impression. And we definitely need a new Mary Jane. Someone that at least looks attractive. Introduce new villains and do not continue to recycle the Green Globin.
Either reboot Ghost Rider or don’t even make another movie. A sequel has been announced and I hope Nick Cage doesn’t reprise his role. Just stick to National Treasure brother.
